Archway Exercises Bespoke Software Development

Developing cloud-based bespoke software to help risk and crisis managers to plan and rehearse for emergencies and major incidents, with a focus on performance and security.

The Brief

Governments, companies and other organisations around the world must prepare for major emergencies, and test the procedures they have in place. Archway Resilience Ltd, a leading consultancy, approached us with a bespoke software development requirement –  a cloud based web app capable of putting organisations to the test by simulating a real-world crisis. As a self-contained exercise management portal, the system must be safe and secure against exercise data being leaked into the real world, as well as perform under intense pressure as hundreds of users login simultaneously.

The Process

Following extensive audience and market research, we identified several key functionalities required of the bespoke software and set about scoping them technically. Following a UX, design and feedback process, we set about developing in the Laravel framework, allowing us to build a streamlined, performance driven web app, capable of securely scaling to thousands of users.
